Mercedes M. Ledesma, LCSW, is a bilingual (English | Spanish) licensed social worker based in Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Temple University’s College of Public Health in 2019. With a deep commitment to supporting survivors of trauma, Mercedes has worked across diverse settings, including community mental health, inpatient, and outpatient facilities.
Specializing in immigration psychological evaluations, Mercedes works closely with individuals and families assisting them in navigating complex immigration processes. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has extensive experience in addressing complex trauma and delivering evidence-based interventions for children, youth, and families.
Beyond her clinical work, Mercedes advocates for cultural competency in mental health care. She provides training on working with Latino populations and implementing TF-CBT with Spanish-speaking clients. She has presented at Jefferson University, the National Association of Social Workers, and the National Latino Behavioral Health Association, among other venues.
